Description: Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon. This day indicated the beginning of hope in the older times; hope, that the malicious rule of Kansa would soon end. To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at Lucknow Public School with mirth and joy.To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the Almighty, Lucknow Public School took the opportunity to both jubilate and learn with the young minds. In Nur. Matka Colouring Activity was done by the students. They coloured the matkas very beautifully. Students of KG performed Mukut Making Activity and made very attractive mukuta of Lord Krishna. Class 1 students participated with full zeal in Flute making activity and made very colourful flutes. Class 2 students participated in Matka Decoration Activity and decorated the matkas. Class 3 students participated in Laddoo Gopal Singhasan Making Activity and made very attractive and beautiful singhasans. Class 4 students performed Laddoo Gopal Dress Making Activity and made nice dresses of Lord Krishna. Class 5 students participated in Laddoo Gopal Jhoola Making Activity and made the jhoolas enthusiastically. Last but not the least students learnt the importance and significance of Janmashtami Festival.
